Building Work
If you are new to Israel and need to have any building work done, like kitchen or bathroom refits, it is often worthwhile to have a supervisor/contractor(kablan), who will oversee the whole job. Although this may appear more expensive, it can save you making costly mistakes. A good kablan will know the building codes and regulations, the correct materials to use for Israeli apartments, and will have good contacts with local suppliers. Most important of all, he/she will make sure that everything is done in the right order!
