Simcha Leah's Bed & Breakfast

If you stay at Simcha Leah's in the Artists' Quarter you will have a breakfast cooked by one of the best vegetarian cooks in Safed.

Location

Simcha Leah's is in Korczak Street, a quiet pedestrian street in the heart of the Artists' Quarter. Stepping down from the street into a pleasant courtyard the guest room is off to the side of the main house.

The Room

The room's stained glass door ushers you into a beautiful restful space decorated in Safed blue. Tastefully furnished with twin beds, the room also has a couch which opens out into another two beds. A trundle bed and a portable crib are available if required. There is also plenty of room for your entire holiday wardrobe in the spacious inlaid-wood closet. With thoughtful matching linens, beautiful pictures on the walls as well as little touches like candles, incense holders and an oil burner you can feel very spoiled staying with Simcha Leah.

The Arab style dome ceiling adds to the atmosphere with the overhead fan keeping the room cool in summer while the thick walls help it to stay cozy in winter.

There is a microwave, a fridge and a kettle, so you can warm up snacks, keep things cool or make a hot drink. A comfortable table and chairs together with a wifi connection also make it easy for you to use your laptop. As well as the normal tea and coffee most zimmers provide, Simcha Leah offers her guests a selection of herb teas, popcorn, cookies and chocolates.

The Bathroom

The private bathroom has both a shower and a tub and Simcha Leah provides a lovely choice of soaps, shampoos and lotions so you can really spoil yourself.

The Courtyard

Sit under the grapefruit tree in one of the low deck chairs outside your room enjoying the courtyard and if you look carefully, you may see a turtle hiding in the garden, or Simcha Leah's cat and dog sunning themselves or resting in the shade.
